Good Afternoon Everyone;
Vets 4 Vets has been busy working on a few different projects. We are currently working on two different service projects, a fundraiser, and as always working to improve the lifestyle of Student Veterans at The Ohio State University.
The first is volunteering with the Honor Flight of Columbus for their reunion. We are also working with Toys 4 Tots by setting up collections for their campaign this year. While helping others, we cannot forget about ourselves, if we cannot operate, then how can we help others?
So to keep Vets 4 Vets going, we are having a fundraiser by having volunteers work at the Highball Halloween Party here in Columbus, Ohio. We will be selling wrist bands and raffle tickets, for doing this our volunteers will earn around $10 an hour for Vets 4 Vets.
Between volunteering, fundraising, and homework we need to unwind too. For unwinding we are having a tailgating event for the Columbus Crew Game on Sunday October 27th. It’s time to have a few cold drinks and a great time while we cheer on the Crew. Tickets for this are $15 with the group discount.
After being all over Columbus, we need to come back to campus. The Officers of Vets 4 Vets are working hard to improve the quality of life for the Student Vets at The Ohio State University. We currently have an appointment with the President and General Manager of Campus Parc to see how we can improve on parking for Veterans. We are also working diligently on getting the requested items for the Veterans Lounge, and with the Veteran Ambassadors on how OSU can improve.
